Obiective

Principalele obiective ale acestui proiect sunt: investigarea diversităţii formelor familiale, a relaţionărilor şi a parcursurilor de viaţă în Europa; evaluarea compatibilităţii dintre politicile sociale existente şi aceste schimbări; contribuţia la elaborarea politicilor sociale bazate pe dovezi.

Proiectul va extinde cunoştinţele noastre despre modul în care politicile sociale promovează bunăstarea, incluziunea şi dezvoltarea socială în cadrul familiei.

Abordarea noastră se bazează pe trei premise cheie. Prima: cursul vieţii familiale devine tot mai divers şi complex. A doua: vieţile individuale sunt interdependente, legate în cadrul unei generaţii şi între generaţii. A treia: contextele şi politicile sociale influențează cursurile vieţii individuale şi cele de familie.

Având în vedere aceste premise, a) vom explora complexitatea crescândă a configuraţiilor şi a tranziţiilor familiale, b) vom examina implicaţiile schimbărilor pentru bărbaţi, femei şi copii vizavi de inegalităţile de şanse, relaţiile intergeneraţionale şi aranjamentele de îngrijire, c) vom investiga măsura în care politicile sociale adresează diversitatea familială, d) vom dezvolta proiectări de scurtă şi se lungă durată, şi e) vom identifica nevoile pentru politicile viitoare.

Dimensiunile transversale integrate în proiect sunt genul, cultura, resursele socio-economice şi etapele de viaţă. Avem o abordare multidisciplinară care combină o largă paletă de experţi în ştiinţele sociale, în drept şi științe umaniste, reprezentaţi într-un consorţiu de 25 de parteneri de cercetare din 15 ţări europene, state membre vechi şi noi, şi 3 membri ai societăţii civile transnaţionale.

În studiile noastre comparative vom aplica metode avansate de analiză cantitativă asupra unor date de anchetă şi de registre de populaţie de înaltă calitate, şi vom conduce câteva studii calitative. Necesar analizelor comparative, proiectul va dezvolta şi o bază de date cu conţinuturile legislative referitoare la formele familiale existente în ţările europene.

Împreună cu diferite părţi interesate, agenţii guvernamentale, factori de decizie naţionali şi locali, organizaţii non-guvernamentale şi alţi membri ai comunităţii ştiinţifice din Europa, vom identifica şi disemina inovaţii şi cele mai bune practici de politici sociale.
