Alina Silian is a PhD candidate with the Doctoral School of Sociology at the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. She is working on a thesis on Training Young People for Work. An Extended Case Analysis of Vocational Schools in Romania: Actors and Policies. She is interested in youth, work and precariousness, vocational education, policy analysis, social inclusion, sociology of knowledge production, and citizenship studies.
