Elizabeth Lightfoot will introduce attendees to the Grand Challenges movement in the field of social work. She will discuss the history and current trends of the “Grand Challenges” approach to addressing social problems, present the “Grand Challenges Initiative for Social Work” which is currently shaping the field of social work in the United States, and discuss how a Grand Challenge approach could be potentially relevant for Romania.
