Călin Goina

Bio:

Călin Goina holds a PhD in sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He holds a master’s degree in political science from Central European University and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from West University Timișoara. He teaches field research, qualitative research methods in social sciences, comparative historical sociology, rural sociology, and a course on academic writing and research ethics. His current line of study focuses on the concept of ‘generation’ in sociology and on the temporal dimension in social sciences in general. This perspective is applied to, and is a continuation of, his previous concerns with social history in rural Romania.
