Ina Laurențiu has an interdisciplinary academic background, holding a BA in Geography from Babeș-Bolyai University and an MA in Advanced Sociological Research from the same university. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the Doctoral School of Integrative Biology, where she researches processes of socio-ecological transformation.

Her research interests lie at the intersection of anthropology, sociology and geography with a focus on relationships between communities, environments, and landscapes, as well as the role of local practices and knowledge in processes of socio-ecological transformation. Her research is primarily qualitative and ethnographic.
