Irina Culic teaches sociology courses in the Department of Sociology. Her research covers a range of topics related to state and borders, including international migration, dual citizenship, national minorities, the formation of subjectivities. Her interest in social epistemologies is reflected in the influence of technology in transforming the social world, the control of state-sanctioned categories such as gender, different textual formulas through which the social can be known. He has studied, taught and conducted research in Hungary, England, Canada and the USA.
