Sorin Gog works as an anthropologist and sociologist at Babeș-Bolyai University where he teaches courses on contemporary sociological theories, sociology of religion and paradigms of secularization. He has carried out several research internships at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology (Germany), IWM (Austria), the New Europe College (Romania) and the Helsinki College for Advanced Studies (Finland). He is currently conducting research projects on personal and spiritual development programs and how they are connected to the transformations of the Romanian labor market, de-industrialization and the impact on housing and precarious people.
