My M.P.E thesis research examined the relationships between a basketball coach’s halftime speech, the player's performance, and their perceptions regarding the value of such a speech. The aspect of basketball coaches’ decision-making, which is also a part of the current research proposal, was only partially addressed in my thesis and is particularly interesting to me as a former basketball player and head coach
