Human resource management and sociology of organizations (in Hungarian)

This master’s program is aimed at those who intend to gain more specialized knowledge related to human resource, workforce management and the analysis and management of organization. The program focuses on human resource systems and processes, as well as strategic human resource management. In addition, the program contributes to the theoretical and methodological deepening of previously acquired scientific research knowledge and skills, especially in terms of the analysis and evaluation of processes and systems related to human resource management in the field of organizational and entrepreneurial research. We offer students the opportunity to choose optional subjects from the university’s other master’s programs, including the master’s program in mental health, which provides students with additional knowledge useful for human resource management regarding mental health in the workplace and in the management of working relationships and conditions. Enrollment in the program is not conditioned by specialized qualifications, however, for its successful completion, basic knowledge in the fields of economics, tourism geography, work psychology, communication sciences, public administration and social sciences is useful. Students can expect a certain flexibility of the schedule.

Objectives

Our goal is to train human resource management experts who are familiar with the organization and systemic processes of human resources and who have the interdisciplinary approach necessary for organizational development.

Acquired competencies

Professional skills:
  • in-depth knowledge of the concepts, theories and methodologies of human resources management;
  • designing and conducting research in the field of human resources;
  • organizing training and counseling programs and internships regarding career guidance;
  • managing labor relations and conflicts in organizations;
  • organizing personnel recruitment and selection processes in organizations;
  • developing organizational communication strategies to improve labor relations;
  • competent use of procedures and software programs based on social indicators regarding organizations and labor relations
Transversal skills:
  • capitalizing on acquired knowledge and methods in various social contexts and activities;
  • written and oral communication for professional purposes in an international language and the ability to work effectively in different cultural contexts;
  • competent use of the computer and new technologies in professional activities specific to the field, as well as for professional communication activities;
  • efficient work in transdisciplinary teams on various hierarchical levels, at intra- and inter-organizational levels.
